John 15:2

Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 

It seems implicit that knowledge of God automatically turns into love for God. If knowledge does not turn into love, then the knowledge has been corrupted. When a person truly knows God, His heart, His ways, His will… one cannot keep himself from following after Him, unless he chooses intentional rebellion and rejects what he knows to be true.  The Pharisees did this in Jesus’ day.  Why would anyone choose to deny knowledge of the True Vine?
