The next thing we have learned is that the branches are the instruments through which fruit is produced. While our Lord produced much “fruit” when He was physically on the earth, He now produces “fruit” through those (branches) who believe in Him.  Sometimes we want to wait for Jesus to do some divine work apart from us.  However, and let me be clear, it is God’s will to use us, not to work around us.  There will be no fruit that does not come from the branches.  There is not a branch without the vine. These are inescapable conclusions.  The keys of the kingdom have been handed over to the disciples, you and me.  We cannot sit by passively and expect God to work around us.  What should you be doing right now that would help you to abide in Christ and bloom?
