If this attitude were practiced in families and the church, it would solve about 90% of any troubles. The problem with the Pharisees and Herodians was that they were lost men who operated in the power of the flesh. They had religion, but they did not have salvation. That makes them the most dangerous people of all! The religious has caused much trouble in this world. Religion is binding and dangerous. Jesus sets us free from that.
