Fear, rejection, personal doubt, spiritual doubt…there may be many other reasons and combinations of reasons as diverse as our fingerprints. I have found that any excuse will be ruled out with assurance. Only by being fully persuaded will we begin trying to persuade others. In other words, the level of certainty you possess will determine the level of success you will have in being a disciple. Therefore, it seems to me that Christians ought to work on building their faith, instead of their reputation. We should devote time to our faith rather than to our portfolio. Why else do you think our enemy has placed so many distractions before us? Shed the distraction and build your faith. Build your faith/Expand His Kingdom. There is no reason/excuse why we cannot turn Russellville, Arkansas (or your city) upside down for the sake of the Gospel. The only missing ingredient is your faith.
