Leviticus~ Day 1 The purpose of the sin offering was for the worshiper to obtain forgiveness from sin. This was similar to the burnt offering. In reality it is much different. The burnt offering served to delay your sinfulness, fallen nature. The sin offering required a sacrifice for any specific sin. Every sin, be it intentional or unintentional, needed to have a sin offering. This displays for the difference between sin and sinner. It also displays the difference between the peace of God and the peace with God. The burnt offering settled the account. The peace offering restored relationship. Death, sin and separation came to the human race through Adam. Every baby born is a sinner (Psalm 51:5). Not only does Jesus bring us peace of God, but He also brings us the peace with God. That is the best news there is! Read it in the Bible
