24/7faith (daily)
Day 3 Like the Burnt Offering and the Grain Offering, the Sin Offering made provision for the poor. If the worshiper couldn't afford a lamb, then he could bring a turtledove or young pigeon (5:7). If he couldn't even afford the bird, then he could bring a tenth of an ephah of fine flour (5:11). We find a couple of lessons here: I’ll state two…God make every provision and removes any excuses on the part of the worshipper. No one can say, “I just can’t afford to be right with God.” Secondly, we see the establishment of equal sacrifice; not equal giving, but equal sacrifice. Everyone cannot give the same amount but everyone can sacrifice the same amount. This is why tithing is so important. Everyone can give out of their blessing and it balances the power of the givers. No one can say, “I am more important because I give more”. Equal sacrifice! Do you think you are sacrificing the fullest measure that you can? First Free Will Baptist Church
