Day 2 The Prophet Habakkuk’s faith is exemplified most clearly in the closing verses of his book. After recalling the mighty acts of God, Habakkuk resolves to wait quietly “for the day of trouble to come upon people who invade us” (Habakkuk 3:16). No longer will he ask questions. God has answered His prayer, and the revelation He gave is enough. All that is left for Habakkuk to do was rest completely in God’s promise; to abide by His guidance and trust the Lord to keep His Word. We have the same role. The Lord has given us revelation that is sufficient to guide our understanding of His plan and what He will do to complete that plan. Our responsibility as His people is to trust fully in His holy Word, to believe what He has promised in Scripture and to dig those promises out ourselves! Not looking for special revelation elsewhere, whether in tradition, feelings, dreams, additional writings or anything else beyond His revelation. #247daily
