First Ripple:

Saturate
The first benefit of water for the body is the moistening of the soft tissue around the eyes, nose, mouth and ears.  Water keeps soft tissue sensitive and pliable.  The process of receiving the water of the Word must begin with Saturation.  The idea of Saturation conveys this meaning; to fill so completely that there is no room for more.  We must consider what we allow ourselves to be filled with.  The Bible clearly states that the things you allow yourself to tolerate will come out in some form, whether by thoughts or actions.  In Galatians 6:8 Paul says, “For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”  We must guard the inlets of our eyes and ears.  The Word is the only protection we need.  The more Hydrated we are with the Word, the more like Christ we will become.  The more like Christ we become, the more like Christ our relationships become.  Our heart becomes what our eyes and ears hear.  Oh be careful little eyes what you see, Oh be careful little ears what you hear.  Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45).  Out of the heart come evil thoughts (Matthew 15:19a).  We must put a covering around our heart.  Our heart beats from the fuel we feed it.  We feed the heart through the eye portal, ear portal and even through the mouth portal.  We must develop a filter to run everything through.  The filter must be the Water of the Word.  Therefore, we Hydrate!

The Verses:
Psalm 63:1
O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.

Psalm 119:11
Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

Proverbs 4:23
Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
