Blaine Rogers @Mark 11:15-19 Day 1 We are always asking the Lord to “show up” here at church. That is a good thing to pray for, because if the Lord doesn’t show up, then everything else is in vain. As we move through this week, you will notice that when Jesus showed up at the Father’s house, He did so as an inspector. It ended up not being a good thing for the worshipers of the 1st Century. Jesus exposes their hypocrisy and exploitation. Jesus declared that He does show up at every service. In Matt. 18:20 Jesus promised to be where any two or three Believers were gathered in His name. In Rev. 1:12-13, Jesus is pictured walking among candlesticks. The candlesticks represent His churches. Then in Heb. 13:5, He promised us that He would “never leave” us or “forsake” us. Jesus is always present. If Jesus judges the Temple, why would we not think that Jesus would examine our hearts (the Temple) as we prepare for and enter worship? Do you examine your heart and motives as you approach the Holiness of God? Whether you do or not, Jesus does. Share this post…
