Blaine Rogers @ First Free Will Baptist Church, Russellville, AR Mark 11:1-11 Day 3 It made no difference whether Jesus rode in on Alvin the Chipmunk or Shadowfax. Everything made/created belonged to Jesus. Neither man nor beast threatened Him. Therefore, we must recognize that this particular entry into the city was not for Jesus’ benefit, but ours. What were the lessons? He was revealing Himself in public so that there could be a witness. Men could know the truth and respond to it. This truth that is revealed before them would either set them free or condemn them. Jesus rode into town on a colt so that no one would feel threatened. He is so wonderful. If He rode in on a stallion as a warrior there would be some who felt removed from Him. He would be unapproachable. But who would be threatened by this Jesus; only those who reject His Truth. This is the same today. Jesus is approachable. He says ‘do not be afraid’ to everyone who approaches. However, they reject Him because they reject His Truth.
