Day 4 What is my spiritual condition, on my best day? The Bible paints a rather bleak picture of our personal best day. Adam’s rebellion in the Garden was sufficient to condemn us all. What if we try to be good? Isaiah reminds us that even on our best day, and with our best sacrifice, our righteous deeds are as filthy rags. (By the way, study what those words mean in the original language.) While we may be the best of the best, with good reputation and all, in our own ability, our standing before God is no different than the worst of the worst. We must have the sacrifice of Jesus covering us in any approach to our Father. In my personal life, there may be temporary lapses into sins, but those sins are not the anomaly, they are an indication of my utter sinfulness. Think about this statement…”My heart has done things my hands haven’t gotten around to yet.” Like our page and Share!
