Day 3 Mark 16:9-14 How is it that the Resurrection became contrary to the closest Followers expectation of Jesus? The only ones who were told by Jesus of the resurrection were the very ones who found difficulty believing it. Here is the primary issue: When this crisis came into their lives they began to focus on themselves instead of the words of Christ. Whew! Does that sound familiar? These Followers were mourning and weeping instead of expecting. This proves they were not focused on Jesus’ promises even before the physical death of Christ. Rather than focusing of the Good News, they focused upon themselves. Again, Whew! Sound familiar? In fact, when Jesus did appear to the eleven, He had to reproach them for their unbelief, which was caused by their hardness of heart. Do you listen when you receive a rebuke for the hardness of your heart? Or is your hard heart so hard that it no longer feels direction at all?
