24/7faith (daily)

Day 4 Mark 16:9-14 So the first encounter of Jesus with His own is met with doubt. Though a sad commentary for the earliest Followers, it actually works to our benefit. Since the people, who were so unbelieving at first, were finally convinced, how strong is the proof supplied to us that Christ indeed arose. The very doubts of the eleven serve as confirmation for our faith. How so? These apostles were not the ones dreaming up the resurrection story – (obviously, huh?, since they were the first to refuse it!). They were the last ones expecting a resurrection. They believed rather reluctantly, and were only convinced after many reports, and after seeing Jesus alive from the dead with their own eyes! There were many lies that arose about the disciples stealing the body of Jesus to make it look like a resurrection and other deceptions. However, these guys were as surprised as anyone. This furthers our ability to accept their reports, which is all we have for our faith…read their reports (The Word of God) and Jesus will appear to you. This will build your faith!
