Blaine Rogers @Mark 11:15-19 Day 3 Read Isaiah 56:6-7. “And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant— these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” The Jews had turned the opportunity God had given the Gentiles for worship at the Temple, into a moneymaking business for themselves. The Jews were using religious requirements for their own good instead of the good of God. They were misrepresenting Him. Instead of approaching God through prayer, the Gentiles were being squeezed by the very people God had sent to show the way. Are there ways that we do the same thing today to those who are outside of our faith? Are we forcing our religion upon people while driving them further from Christ? Share this post…
